Meet The Maker // All About Me

Hi, I’m Jenni, the designer/maker of Indriya Jewelry — the human behind the brand

Yesterday you read a little bit about how the brand came about. Today I’ll share more about me.

I was born in Encinitas, California and we moved to Kailua-Kona, Hawaii when I was 10. Basically born and raised a beach girl!

My mom has always been a “seeker” of sorts, so I was immersed in NLP and Ancient Hawaiian Huna from an early age. Then in my early 20’s, I discovered my own medium for inner work through the physical practice of hatha yoga. I’ve been an instructor for 17 years now and still teach today.  @yoga_wire

I have a lot of interests! Yoga, music and concerts, food and vegan culinary arts  @thesproutedpalate, big waves, photography, and more… (Fun fact: I used to dabble in concert photography. I had a goal to photograph Foo Fighters.. and I did it!)

My partner and I have navigated life together for over 9 years! I’m a step-mama, and I really lucked out to have an awesome step-son. We have a black Dutch Shepherd named Astro and grey kitty named Mazzie.

I love Thai food, popcorn, and pickles. My favorite color is still probably chartreuse. I’m exactly half Italian + a mix of German, French, and Dutch.

Family is everything, and I’ve been wildly blessed with a large group of loved ones!

I like a modern aesthetic with a tropical twist. I like clean and simple, but also bold and avant garde. I value quality. I respect attention to detail.

As a one-woman business, I do everything myself. Design, order supplies, make the jewelry, photograph, manage the website, social media, book and attend events, create promo materials, newsletters, fulfill wholesale orders, pack and ship, etc.

Being a small business owner has its challenges, but it is also incredibly rewarding!
